"Corporate AI needs a black box, not an ethics manual": V-Proof on Catalunya Ràdio
By the V-Proof Team — Press and Communications
Last Sunday, Gil Blancafort, CEO and founder of V-Proof , returned to the Catalunya Ràdio studios to speak with journalist Xantal Llavina. Nine seasons after his first appearance on the leading innovation program *Revolució 4.0*, the landscape has changed dramatically: we are no longer discussing advertising creativity, but rather the legal survival of corporations in the age of artificial intelligence.
The End of "Document Compliance"
During the interview, Blancafort was unequivocal about the greatest risk facing boards of directors today:
"Using AI without traceability is like building your brand's value on a canvas that doesn't belong to you. If you don't have cryptographic proof of what your AI has done, the risk of facing multimillion-dollar fines is devastating."
The traditional compliance model—based on drafting PDFs and codes of ethics—is dead. As the Financial Times recently noted, European regulators will no longer accept the excuse of “blaming the algorithm.” Humans are ultimately responsible for AI decisions, and without mathematical proof, the risk (Deployment Risk) is unacceptable.
Market Lessons: From Samsung to Spotify
During the broadcast, real-life cases were discussed that demonstrate why today’s technology, if not properly audited, is vulnerable. From the infamous leak of Samsung’s proprietary source code to OpenAI’s servers, to the recent million-dollar frauds on Spotify (where bot networks and AI-generated songs managed to bypass controls and generate millions in illegitimate royalties ).
These incidents are not inevitable technical failures; they are failures of governance. Corporate AI needs a "black box" similar to the one used in commercial aviation: an immutable record that verifies what happened, when, and under which compliance rules.
Validating the thesis: Gartner's AI TRiSM framework
V-Proof vision V-Proof backed by the giants of market analysis. Consulting firm Gartner already warns that by 2026, 80% of AI failures will stem from violations of internal policies. Its proposal, the AI TRiSM framework, aligns perfectly with our Hardcoded Compliance architecture: embedding the law directly into the codebase (Layer 0) so that legal compliance is not a promise, but an irrefutable technical certainty.
A time of unstoppable growth
The interview also served as an opportunity to highlight the project’s strong progress. V-Proof is moving full steam ahead after closing its €300,000 seed round.
